This site uses very few cookies, and none for advertising. Below is exactly which ones, what they're for and how to decline them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. It lets a site remember something between two pages or two visits. Some are needed to make the site work, others measure how the site is used.
Which cookies this site places
These two Google Analytics cookies are only placed if you choose Accept in the cookie notice.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Tells visitors apart, so we don't count return visits twice | 2 years |
_ga_BVG1JV41QL |
Keeps track of the session for our measurement ID | 2 years |
Browsers often shorten that period if you don't come back: Chrome caps it at 400 days and Safari at 7 days.
The site places no other cookies for regular visitors. We don't use advertising cookies, a Facebook pixel or trackers from other parties.
Your choice in the cookie notice
We store your choice for 12 months in your own browser, in localStorage under the name grp_cookiekeuze. None of it is sent to us or anyone else. After those 12 months, we ask again.
Technical storage by WordPress
During your visit, WordPress places a technical value in your browser (wpEmojiSettingsSupports in sessionStorage) to decide how emoji are displayed. It contains nothing about you, and the value disappears when you close the tab.
When you log in
Site administrators get the standard WordPress cookies to stay logged in. Anyone using GRP Studio at /tools/ gets the session cookie PHPSESSID, which disappears when you close the browser. These cookies are purely functional and don't apply to regular visitors.
The map in the footer
At the bottom of every page there's a button that loads a map from Google Maps. As long as you don't click it, nothing is sent to Google. If you do, Google can receive data from your browser, including your IP address, and place its own cookies. What Google does with that is set out in Google's privacy policy.
What we don't do
We don't track you across other websites. We don't sell data. We don't link the measurement data to your name or email address, and we don't use it to show you ads later.
Declining or deleting cookies
On your first visit, you choose between Accept and Decline in the cookie notice. You can change your choice whenever you like through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, measurement stops and we delete the Google Analytics cookies.
You can also manage cookies yourself in your browser. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, you'll find this in the privacy settings. You can delete existing cookies and block new ones.
If you don't want to be measured by Google Analytics on any website, Google offers a browser extension for that.
Declining these cookies has no effect on how you use the site. Everything keeps working as normal.
Changes
If we add anything that places cookies, it will appear here before it goes live, and the date at the top will change.
